Wine Server

The Wine Steward L.L.C. is a privately owned company located in Orland Park. The Wine Steward was created by a waitress who found it awkward to serve wine that came in a screwcapped bottle. The restaurant was moderately upscale with linen table cloths and although the wines were excellent selections, the screwcaps diminished the ambiance.

A device was created and after many alterations, The Wine Steward was made not only to hold corks and screwcaps to the bottle, but it caught the drips that ran down the bottle after pouring. The crystals and charms made it fun!

As orders piled up and gift shops began carrying The Wine Steward, a manufacturer was the next step. Offers from different manufacturing companies were tempting, but the goal was to keep it an American made product.

The Wine Steward partnered with Easter Seals Metropolitan Chicago to provide vocational training and meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with Autism. These beautiful bottle charms are handmade by students/adult clients at Easter Seals Autism Therapeutic School and Adult Vocational Program in Tinley Park, IL. This long-term production contract provides meaningful employment opportunities for over 16 individuals with Autism. We are proud of our partnership with Easter Seals and the unique skill set of their efficient team is a perfect fit for The Wine Steward’s needs.
